The War was about investing in what we believed in and it was many ways of life, many of which we still enjoy. The oxo cube has been selected as a symbol of something we picked then and we still pick now. 100 million cubes were part of WW1 Ration Kits. As part of their training Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) student chefs have created 34 menus tuning into the end of war period (https://www.bcot.ac.uk/news-and-events/2018/07/bcot-to-help-commemorate-ww1-centenary/)

As it passes the 13 pubs en route there will be an opportunity for toasting, and it will toot as it passes Bombay Sapphire. The route and its pubs include: ca. 10am-11am White Hart (Hook), Old White Hart (Hook), The Hogget (Hook), Ynot Inn (Water End), The Hatch (Old Basing) [BCoT and Morrisons to collect the shell, leaving ca. 11am] Ca.11am-12pm Royal Oak (Worting), White Hart (Worting), Fox (Newfound), Beech Arms (Oakley), White Hart (Overton), Red Lion (Overton), Bombay Sapphire (Laverstoke), Prince Regent (Whitchurch), Red House (Whitchurch), White Hart (Whitchurch).
